LET’S EMBRACE EMOTIONS!

This eTwinning project promotes inclusion, empathy, and emotional awareness among primary school pupils through cross-cultural collaboration and creative expression. Centered on the theme of friendship, the project involves activities such as story-based reflection, emotional discussions, and artistic creation inspired by Klimt’s The Kiss. Pupils express their emotions through visual arts and engage in intercultural exchanges with peers from partner schools. The project also includes hands-on implementation by pre-service teachers during their internships, providing opportunities to directly engage with children in classroom settings. Collaboration takes place through TwinSpace, Padlet, and video conferencing tools, with regular communication and shared responsibilities between European partner schools. The project fosters key competences like social-emotional learning, cultural awareness, and teamwork, while involving the wider school community and families in the learning process.

The culture in a colored dish

This is a students-to-students eTwinning ITE projects. It has been founded among University of Italy and Romania and Turkey, whose students collaborate remotely based on shared interests and objectives. Two teacher educators from different universities agreed on a shared work program and organize some distance collaborative activities that put students in contact and allow them to discuss,collaborate and exchange knowledge and experiences.

This eTwinning ITE project is designed as a student-to-student collaboration, bringing together future educators from Italy and Turkey. Founded through a partnership among universities in these countries, the project enables student teachers to connect, engage, and collaborate remotely based on shared interests and educational goals. Two teacher educators from different universities have developed a structured work program, fostering a dynamic learning environment through distance collaborative activities. These activities offer student teachers the opportunity to interact, discuss, and exchange knowledge and experiences, enhancing their professional growth while promoting international cooperation. In addition to this university-level exchange, the project also involves pupils and school teachers from the institutions where the student teachers are completing their training placements. This multi-level approach enriches the project by integrating theory with real classroom practice and promoting interaction across all levels of education. Through this project, we aim to strengthen cross-cultural understanding, encourage innovative teaching approaches, and build a strong, collaborative network of both future and current educators.

Step-by-Step Foreign Language Learning

Project Goal: This project aims to integrate constructivist teaching methods and cultural interaction to support foreign language learning at the university level. Students will improve their language skills while being motivated by learning about different cultures. Objectives: * To enhance students' four essential language skills: reading, writing, listening, and speaking. * To promote online collaboration and cultural exchange. * To introduce and utilize technology-supported language learning tools. * To build motivation and confidence in students toward learning foreign languages. Target Audience: * Students enrolled in elementary education programs from participating universities in different countries. Project Duration: 3 months ACTIVITIES: 1.Presentation of teachers involved 2.Students introduce themselves through a letter writing correspondence and initiate communication 3.Shared logo creation 4.Short introductive tour guide video of students’ university and its facilities 5. Shared videoconference with discussion of topics of common interest and Kahoot as comprehension check of previous video 6. Students are divided in groups to create cultural/ educational podcasts(my city, a typical recipe, time management for student teachers, Tpr, storytelling, phonics…) 7. Elementary, My Dear Watson?

Steps: Pre-service teachers will work collaboratively to produce a fully-developed game. The stages of collaboration include: - STEP 1: kick-off online session november instructions on how to play the game with pupils (curriculum, rules, objectives, material, number of players, topic, etc.) - STEP 2: designing the game Groups will synchronous or asynchronous online collaborate to brainstorm ideas and assign roles. They will plan the structure of their game, ensuring it aligns with one of the four topics (chemical elements, famous scientists, sustainability, technology)following the game for learning template deadlines If possible, once the game mechanics are developed, each group will present their draft to another group. This peer feedback will help refine the final product. Groups will offer constructive criticism on aspects such as educational effectiveness, creativity, and clarity. Preparing the game: 13/11⇒27/11 Designing the game: 27/11⇒11/12 Publishing and assessing the game: 11/12⇒17/12 STEP 3 : closure online session ( online session (voluntarily) to play or present the games Each group will present their finalized game to the cohort. The presentation will include an explanation of how the game engages students, the use of resources from other groups, and the integration of game-based learning into primary or secondary education. The eTwinning Magic at School: A Rhyme of Well-Being and Joy

In the project, we aim to investigate the challenges faced in schools and effective strategies to improve student well-being. The project aims to raise students in a school environment that supports not only academic success but also their emotional and social development. In particular, the concept of "Well-Being at School" includes students' active participation, positive emotional experiences, and cognitive engagement. Research shows that these components represent separate developing dimensions that support students' active participation in school. In this context, our project aims to strengthen student well-being through eTwinning and promote intercultural interaction at an international level. " The eTwinning Magic at School: A Rhyme of Well-Being and Joy" project aims to support students' emotional and cognitive development by providing them with a creative learning environment.

Preparing for the Classroom of the Future: AI Literacy for Teachers (TÜBİTAK 4004)

The main purpose of this project is to increase the artificial intelligence literacy of teachers who play an active role in shaping the future. With the increase in the literacy of teachers, it is aimed that the project participants keep up with the times, get to know artificial intelligence, one of the innovative applications in education, and use it actively in their professions. Courses using artificial intelligence positively contribute to students' academic success. In line with this main purpose, the project's target audience is classroom teachers and the participants will consist of 24 teachers working in the central districts of Mersin. The project covers digital pedagogy in education, basic coding and computer coding, artificial intelligence in coding tools, artificial intelligence algorithm, artificial intelligence applications used in education, artificial intelligence and machine learning concepts, generative artificial intelligence tools, broad language models, use of artificial intelligence in different courses, prompt engineering, voice, image and text recognition technology and ethics in artificial intelligence. In this project, artificial intelligence applications in education are discussed with an interdisciplinary approach. First of all, after gaining a holistic perspective and competence, studies on the integration of artificial intelligence into education in many various disciplines will be carried out on a practical basis. In this project, it has been planned by the fact that all of the events are interesting and that the participants participate effectively in all events. For this reason, various methods were used. (Art, STEAM, E learning apps, etc.)

Toprak Bilim Okulu

Toprak Bilim Okulu 10-12 yaş grubu öğrencilerine eğitim vermektedir. Toprak Bilim Okuluna haftada bir gün 09.00-15.30 saatleri arasında yapılan eğitim programına sınıf öğretmeninin başvurusu ile 24 kişilik grup halinde katılabilmektedirler. Toprak Bilim Okulu eğitimi Milli Eğitim Bakanlığının eğitim-öğretim programı tarihleri ile birlikte yürütülmektedir. Eğitimimler ilkokulların açıldığı Eylül ayının ikinci haftasında başlayıp okulların kapandığı Haziran ayının ikinci haftasının sonunda tamamlanmaktadır. Yarıyıl tatilinde eğitim verilmemektedir. Toprak Bilim Okulunda eğitim programı 5 farklı atölyelerde öğrenci katılımlı etkinliklerle yapılmaktadır. 2010-2011 öğretim yılı bahar dönemi süresince her Perşembe günü Toprak Bilim Okulu’nda gözlemler yaptım. Atölyelere katıldım. Üniversitede öğrenclerimizle birlikte Topluma Hizmet Uygulamaları dersi kapsamında bu okulda eğitime katıldık. Daha sonra öğrencilerimle birlikte gerekli izinleri alıp Hacettepe Üniversitesi Beytepe Kampüsünde toprak konusunda farkındalık yaratmak için çeşitli çalışmalar yapıp, stant kurup bilgilendirme yaptık. Ayrıca proje ekibindeki öğretim üyeleriyle birlikte 4th WCES konferansında sözlü bildiri olarak çalışmamızı sunduk.
